is my first Vette. In fact, it is the first Vette I have ever driven.
Saw it, drove it, liked it, bought it. I first was hooked back in '64,
when I got a ride in my neighbor's boyfriends '64 vert; Nassau blue, with
white interior. 45 years later......... I am the 4th owner of the car, which was originally from North Carolina. I have had it only a year. The first owner had the side pipes put on, but other that than, the car is mostly original (numbers matching engine and drive-train). It was repainted about 5 years ago in the correct Mulsanne blue. The vehicle is a '71 LT-1 with an M21 4-speed and a 3:70 rear; no power steering or air. It has a little over 77,000 original miles. It is a brute to drive, but lets out a loud, satisfying howl from the sidepipes when I drop the hammer. Of course, you can watch the gas gauge needle go left, as the speedometer needle goes right, but who cares!! |
